Get The Most Out Of Your Workouts!

Get The Most Out Of Your Workouts!

If you want to get The Most Out Of Your Workouts, you’ll need a little planning and preparation. After all, why just show up, throw around some weight, and leave? If you want to achieve a great physique, you need a plan. In this article, we’ll give you the tips you need to take your workouts - and your gains - to the next level.

Variety - Switch Things Up

Rich was a big believer in variety. He switched it up every time he walked into the gym. What about progression? There’s more to it than constantly adding weight. After a while, you will hit a strength limit. At that point, it’s time to use other forms of progressive overload. Add reps or sets, incorporate intensity techniques, or manipulate time. Not to mention, variety is a form of progressive overload because your body never really adapts.

Have Specific Goals

Don’t work out just to work out, have some goals. They should be specific. Rather than saying “I want to get big”, say “I want to gain 30 lbs of lean muscle”. Have a definite physique goal in mind. Then, set your training sessions and nutrition/supplementation goals to get you there.

Drink Your 5% Pre-Workout

Do you think coffee’s enough, or have you tried 5% Nutrition’s innovative pre-workouts? If you’ve used 5150 or Kill It RTDs, you know there’s a huge difference in workout quality and performance with 5%. Energy, focus, motivation, pumps, endurance, and strength, it’s all there. So, don’t forget your 5% Nutrition pre-workout, it matters!

Mix Up Your 5% Intra-Workout And Freeze It!

One of Rich’s favorite workout tricks was his All Day You May slushies. He’d mix up a couple of servings and freeze it for about 20-30 minutes. Then, he’d enjoy a delicious, refreshing ice-cold slushie that kept him in an anabolic environment while he trained.

Hydrate!

Of course, you should drink plenty of water every day, whether or not you’re training. Leading up to your workout, you want to stay hydrated. Allowing yourself to become dehydrated affects both your physical and mental performance. The cell volumizing ingredients found in advanced 5% Nutrition products such as 5150 or Kill It RTDs pull water into the muscles, creating water-based pumps. Glycerin, especially, works best when you drink a lot of water with it.

Besides that, 5% has Hydrate Sticks, an advanced electrolyte drink that comes in single-serving packets. Just add it to water and enjoy! Or, mix it up with your All Day You May Slushie.

Drink Your 5% Post-Workout As Soon As You’re Done

Once you’ve finished your workout, it’s all about recovery. If you drink a Real Carbs + Protein (or Real Carbs and Shake Time) shake right after your last set, you’re jumpstarting recovery - right away. It worked for Rich, it can work for you too.

Write It Down

If you aren’t keeping a training journal, now’s the time to start. Why guess about the details of your workouts? A journal lets you track your sets, reps, and weight used. Take it further and track the time, how long you rest between sets, how you feel, and what 5% supplements you took.

Get Some Sleep

Sleep is a critically important restorative process. It’s not just important for recovery, it sets up your entire day. Don’t sleep well, and you’ll drag through the day. Both your workouts and your productivity will suffer. Get a great night’s sleep, and you’ll feel great and perform at your best. If you suffer from occasional sleep problems, it’s time to add Knocked The F*ck Out to your arsenal. Get a container today and sleep better tonight!
