What Is A Stack?

A supplement stack combines at least two 5% Nutrition products that work together to help you achieve a specific goal. A stack should consist of complementary products, therefore it's important to understand the function of each supplement you're thinking about using.

The Code Red Series Stack

This Stack will consist of all 3 Code Red products: Creatine, Aminos, and PRE. The logic of this Stack is straightforward, each of these products supports gains, and you can get better results from the synergistic combination of all 3, more so than from a single product. Let's take a look at each one. 

Code Red Series Creatine

If this is your first time using creatine, follow the directions for the loading phase: one serving 4 times per day for the first 5-7 days. After that, take one serving per day. During the loading phase, your doses should be evenly divided. Stack Creatine by taking one dose with PRE. After you've finished the loading phase, mix your daily dose with PRE on training days. On off days, take it mid-morning on an empty stomach. You can also mix it with Amino.

What Does Creatine Do?

Creatine supports endurance due to its role in the ATP energy system. This is the cellular system of energy that supports muscular contractions, or your ability to lift weights. Creatine also supports muscle cell volume, strength, and protein synthesis. The last benefit is important because it is a trigger of muscle growth. (1)

Code Red Series Aminos

You can use Aminos any time of the day. This product directly triggers protein synthesis. It also supports recovery. Amino can be taken by itself, mixed in with your 5% Nutrition protein powder, added to PRE and/or Creatine, and used as an intra-workout drink.

What Do Amino Acids Do?

Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, which is mandatory for muscle growth. There are different types of amino acids. For example, there are non-essential amino acids (NEAAs), which are made by the body, and essential amino acids (EAAS), which are not made by the body. There are 9 of these, 3 of which are called branch-chain amino acids (BCAAs). Leucine, a BCAA, is the amino that's most directly involved in stimulating protein synthesis. (2)
